MIWOE Foundation-Ghana Marks World Menstrual Hygiene Month in Dzodze

As part of activities to mark World Menstrual Hygiene Month, MIWOE Foundation-Ghana, led by Executive Director Madam Innocentia Dogbe, donated menstrual pads, washing powder, and bathing soaps to pupils of Dzodze Fiagbedu R.C./M.A. Basic Schools A & B, Dzodze R.C. Central Schools A & B, and Dzodze R.C. Demonstration School on June 3, 2026.
The programme featured menstrual hygiene education, an interactive question-and-answer session, and motivational talks aimed at encouraging students to remain focused on their education and future aspirations.
During an engagement with school authorities, the Foundation assessed the schools’ pressing needs. Headteachers highlighted the need for printers, laptops, and other educational materials to enhance teaching and learning.
Madam Dogbe called on stakeholders, NGOs, old students, and other well-meaning individuals to support education, particularly initiatives that promote the development and empowerment of the girl-child.
Among the dignitaries present were Mr. Abraham Ahiable, CEO of Denyigba Radio; Hon. Vincent Deanoo, Assembly Member for the Dzodze Afetepe/Dafornyame Electoral Area; Mr. Isaac Yakanu, Foundation Liaison Officer; and other invited guests.
The beneficiary schools expressed appreciation to MIWOE Foundation-Ghana for its continued support toward menstrual hygiene and education. School management noted that this was not the Foundation’s first intervention at Fiagbedu School and expressed optimism about strengthening the partnership in the years ahead. They also appealed to more individuals and organisations to support educational development within their communities.
