Ho District Court Grants Bail to 77 Ehi Residents
The District Court in Ho, Volta region , on this day granted bail to all 77 residents of Ehi- who had been on remand for the past two weeks, after a joint security operations in the area- following a killing.
The court, however, rejected an application by counsel for the accused, Gideon Koku Abotsi, requesting that the Member of Parliament for the area: Hon. Eric Edem Agbana stand as surety for all the individuals. Despite this refusal, the court upheld the broader application for bail.
As part of their bail conditions, the accused persons are to report to the Dzodze Central Police Station once every month while investigations continue.
